The lotus much used in Chinese herbal medicine and the needle of the acupuncturist. Regarded as a symbol of rebirth and renewal, the lotus flower also signifies the good health and joy that comes from maintaining well-being. The red lotus, in particular, additionally represents compassion.
And what is 巫 Wu? Wu is a Wise Woman, Shaman, Witch, Wizard. Wu is a way of life, our three bodies, physical, energetic, and spiritual. Wu is the inter-relationship of human and nature, heavens and earth. The Witchy Wu provides the conduit of connection, as signified by the point of her hat and the feather in it, pointing skywards whilst her (possibly bare) feet are firmly rooted in the ground. Wu is informed, educated, yet intuitive practice with a (very long) time honoured foundation and history.
